Cesar Lopez Injury: Set for ACL surgery

Lopez will undergo surgery after being diagnosed with an ACL tear in his left knee, the club reported Monday.

Lopez is expected to be sidelined for several months, so he won't be an option in the Apertura 2025 season. He was the Potosinos' second goalkeeper, so the issue affects the squad depth, with Andres Sanchez retaining the starting spot and Carlos Rodas promoted to a substitute role.
