Dani Carvajal News: Sent off in Champions League

Carvajal was shown a straight red card during the second half of Tuesday's Champions League clash with Marseille.

Carvajal came on after three minutes to replace the injured Trent Alexander-Arnold, and was shown his marching orders in the second half. If Alexander-Arnold's injury proves to be serious it could force Madrid into a makeshift right-back, potentially Federico Valverde or Raul Asencio. Carvajal will be suspended for at least one match in the Champions League. That would sideline him for a Sept. 30 trip to Kairat Almaty.
