Dario Essugo Injury: Undergoes successful surgery

Essugo has undergone successful surgery today on his thigh, the club announced.

Essugo sustained a thigh injury while on international duty with Portugal U21 and underwent successful surgery on Tuesday. The midfielder will now begin his recovery at Cobham and his evolution will determine his timeline to return. That said, his absence will not impact the starting XI since he is expected to be only a depth option this season under coach Enzo Maresca.
