David Ruiz Injury: Signs through 2028

Ruiz signed an extension with Miami through 2028, with a club option for 2029, Miami announced.

Ruiz is on the sideline with a hamstring injury and is out for the rest of the season, but is still part of the long-term future with the club. Ruiz will be with Miami for at least three more seasons, and is expected to grow into a larger role in the starting XI, especially with Sergio Busquets retiring. Ruiz was held to just four appearances (two starts) this season due to a variety of injuries.
