Bouanga converted an 81st-minute penalty earned by Son Heung-Min to secure the 2-2 result against Chicago on Saturday. He entered the pitch at halftime and recorded two shots, both on target, and created two chances. The strike was his 14th goal in MLS this season, and he remains LAFC's top scorer. Bouanga has now been directly involved in 19 goals in league play in 2025.
