Samassekou has found a new club after departing Hoffenheim this offseason, joining Houston on a deal through 2026, with options through 2028. The 29-year-old has decent experience in Europe in the midfielder role, playing between Austria and Germany. That said, a starting role is what he should be pushing for, although he may have to be integrated, leading to a rotational role to begin.
