Diego Rubio News: Opens scoring in victory

Rubio scored one goal to go with two shots (two on goal) and one cross (zero accurate) in Sunday's 2-1 win over Seattle Sounders FC.

Rubio closed down the Seattle backline Sunday to put himself through on goal and convert his chance for the opening goal in Austin's 2-1 home win over Seattle. The goal was the second of the campaign for the forward and his first since May. Rubio has made 10 successive appearances (nine starts) for Austin, scoring and assisting once each over that span. Rubio has not played past the 83rd minute mark in any of his 23 MLS appearances (10 starts) this season.
