Duvan Zapata News: Retuns from major injury

Zapata (knee) logged a few minutes in Saturday's friendly against Valencia.

Zapata saw some action for the first time since tearing his knee last October. He'll likely be handled carefully to start the season, but he's technically healthy. He'll split duties with Che Adams and Giovanni Simeone up front and occasionally team up with one of them. He posted 12 goals and four assists in 35 games in his last healthy season, adding 99 shots (38 on target), 27 key passes and 50 crosses (five accurate).
