Edgar Guerra Injury: Forced off in Leagues Cup win

Guerra left with a muscular injury in the opening Leagues Cup clash against New York City FC, Antonio Zamora reported Tuesday.

Guerra was unable to continue after 23 minutes of the midweek contest. While the severity of the problem is still unknown, losing him would be a significant blow for the squad considering he played the entire first three games of the Liga MX campaign and was in decent form, totaling six shots, eight chances created, one goal and one assist. Forward Emiliano Gomez took his place Tuesday, but Iker Moreno could be a more direct replacement on the right flank under the current 3-5-2 formation.
