Elias Montiel Injury: Joins U20 national team

Montiel won't be eligible to play for his club in Apertura game weeks 9-12 because he'll represent Mexico in the upcoming Under-20 World Cup.

Montiel's exclusion could represent a difficulty for Tuzos given that he usually plays every minute and does all kinds of work on the field. For the duration of this absence, Pedro Pedraza and Alan Bautista could see action along with a possibly recovered William Carvalho (undisclosed). Additionally, Luis Quinones and Oussama Idrissi may assume set-piece responsibilities. The youngster will be back in his starting spot for the final few regular-season fixtures if fatigue is not an issue.
