Elias Montiel News: Credited with two assists in win

Montiel assisted twice to go with one shot (zero on goal), three crosses (one accurate) and two corners in Saturday's 3-0 win over Atlas.

Montiel set up the team's first goal with a lobbed pass that allowed Gaston Togni to break the deadlock before the 10th minute. Not done with that, the promising central midfielder also set up Sergio Barreto's goal to close out the scoring in the final stages of the first half. Montiel has one goal and two assists in four appearances to begin the Apertura, but he's been a creative spark in midfield since he's averaging 2.25 chances created per game so far.
