Enzo Fernandez Injury: Late call against Forest

Fernandez (knee) will be a late call for Saturday's trip to Nottingham Forest, coach Enzo Maresca said in the press conference Friday. "[Fernandez] didn't take part in the session yesterday, but we will see if [he] can train today. Otherwise, [he] would be out for tomorrow."

Fernandez is dealing with a knee issue and missed the game against Puerto Rico while on international duty. The midfielder is expected to be a late call for Saturday's clash against Forest as he still needs to train ahead of the game. Fernandez has been playing as a number 10 due to the absence of Cole Palmer (groin) and could continue playing this role forward with Palmer ruled out for at least six more weeks.
