Ethan Wheatley News: Joins Northampton Town on loan

Wheatley has joined Northampton Town on loan from Manchester United for the 2025/26 season, his parent club announced.

Wheatley made his senior debut in 2024 after coming all the way through the ranks at Carrington. The 19-year-old was a key part of the Under-18s' three-trophy campaign in 2023/24 and continued his development the following year, starting in UEFA Youth League and Premier League 2 games, in which he scored 10 goals. Wheatley will continue his development at Northampton Town in League One after a first loan spell at Walsall.
