Fabian Schar Injury: Brought off with head injury
Schar was brought off with a head injury in the second half of Monday's 3-2 defeat against Liverpool, coach Eddie Howe confirmed in a press conference, according to The Athletic. "Then we've obviously lost Fabby (Schar) to concussion."
Schar was brought off during the second half after a nasty head-to-head collision in the box. He went down immediately and had to be helped off the pitch. Malick Thiaw came on to replace him and would be in line for the start against Leeds United on Saturday if Schar enters concussion protocols. It would be a serious surprise if he avoided a concussion after coming off Monday, especially since coach Eddie Howe expects him to miss some time.
