Gabriel News: Returns off bench

Gabriel (hamstring) came off the bench during Wednesday's 3-2 friendly loss to Villarreal.

Gabriel returned to action after missing a large portion of pre-season training with a hamstring injury. The defender came off the bench and played the final 30 minutes of Wednesday's friendly. He didn't seem to struggle moving around the pitch and made some sprints that showed no sign of any issue. When fit he will be the top-choice partner for William Saliba in what is the best defensive unit in the Premier League.
