Giorgos Giakoumakis News: Joins PAOK on loan

Giakoumakis was loaned to Greek side PAOK from Cruz Azul for the rest of the 2025/26 season, his parent club announced Wednesday.

Giakoumakis has left the Mexican league following a short stint with La Maquina, where he contributed nine goals and seven assists in 34 appearances (19 starts). The former Atlanta United and Celtic player is a reliable shooter when fit, but constant muscle injuries have prevented him from seeing regular action throughout his career. Still, he'll look to regain momentum upon his return to Greece. Meanwhile, Angel Sepulveda will remain Cruz Azul's starting striker.
