Hjalmar Ekdal News: Starting in friendly

Ekdal got the start during Saturday's friendly clash with Stoke City.

Ekdal missed the opening half of the 2024/25 campaign due to a knee injury, and then when he was fit he was sent on loan to FC Gronigen. He impressed on loan, and has seemingly pushed for a spot in the Burnley first team. Ekdal made eight appearances (five starts) the last time Burnley were in the top flight in 2023/24.
