Isco (ankle) was spotted walking without crutches for the first time on the training pitch on Friday, the club announced.

Isco suffered a new non-displaced ankle fracture in a pre-season friendly against Malaga and has since been recovering from the injury. The playmaker showed encouraging progress on Friday as he was spotted walking without crutches for the first time on the training pitch. Isco remains several weeks away from returning to competition, which will likely happen in the second half of November at best. Until then, Giovani Lo Celso is seeing a greater role in attacking midfield.
