Jackson Irvine Injury: Nearing return to competition

Irvine (foot) is nearing a return from injury as he remains on schedule and resumed team training on Tuesday, according to Hamburger Morgen Post.

Irvine underwent foot surgery in May after suffering a fracture but is nearing a return to competition. The St. Pauli captain was spotted training with the team and completed a full session on Tuesday. This is good news for the club as he will likely hold a key role in midfield and be available in the near future. Until he returns to full fitness, Lars Ritzka could see a starting role in midfield.
