Javier Aquino News: Will be rested against Pumas
Aquino won't play in Saturday's visit to Pumas, with coach Guido Pizarro saying that "He had a lot of effort in the game we played with 10 men" and "the idea is for him to rest so he can be 100 percent on Wednesday", Edgar Martinez of As Mexico reports.
Aquino has been extremely active this season, playing more than 60 minutes in every match. He should be back as the team's regular right-back for the double game week in which they'll face Atlas and Queretaro. Both Vladimir Lorona and Jesus Garza are viable options to take his place in the starting lineup Saturday.
