Jeffrey Gouweleeuw Injury: Available to play

Gouweleeuw is available to play after his hand surgery, coach Sandro Wagner said in a press conference.

Gouweleeuw suffered a fractured hand in a pre-season friendly but is back available to play. This is good news for the club as he is the captain of Augsburg and an undisputed starter in the backline. He will likely wear a bandage on his hand but that should not impact his playing time as he is expected to return directly to the starting XI on Sunday against Halle in the DFB Pokal.
