Frimpong was substituted in the second half of Friday's 4-2 victory against Bournemouth in the season opener as a precaution after feeling his hamstring, coach Arne Slot said in a press conference. "Not only the pace of the league, Jeremie felt his hamstring a little bit so that's a risk - especially if the other full-back Conor Bradley is already out with an injury."

Frimpong felt his hamstring and was substituted as a precaution in the second half of Friday's victory over the Cherries in the season opener. Conor Bradley remains sidelined with an undisclosed injury, so coach Arne Slot opted not to risk losing a second right-back early in the season. That said, Frimpong is expected to be available for the second game of the season against the Magpies next Monday.
