Paulo (knee) participated in training warmups on Tuesday and is close to returning, coach Brian Schmetzer said to the media, according to Jackson Felts from 93.3 KJR radio. "They participated in warm ups today, so they're getting closer."

Paulo suffered a knee injury in late June that has sidelined him since then and required a small surgery for a meniscus clean-up. The midfielder participated in the warmups of team training on Tuesday, suggesting he isn't far from making his return, as he could be back after the international break for the next game against LA Galaxy on Sept. 13. That said, he had only a rotational role prior to his injury and will likely find that role again for the final stretch of the season when fit.
