Joelinton News: Scores in UCL win

Joelinton scored a goal off two shots (both on target) and made three tackles (two won), one clearance and three interceptions during Wednesday's 2-0 Champions League win over Athletic Bilbao.

Joelinton had a goal disallowed due to an offside when the match was still scoreless but he would still find the back of the net, as he headed home a cross from the left side of the box in the 49th minute to double his side's lead. This was the first goal of the season in all competitions for the midfielder, but his usual lack of peripheral numbers makes him relying too much on scoring and assisting, something he's not done abundantly since joining Newcastle.
