Jonathan Perez News: Scores in rare start

Perez scored one goal to go with one shot (one on goal) in Saturday's 2-2 draw versus Atlas.

Perez filled in well for Oscar Haret Ortega (suspension) in defensive duties and also found the back of the net with a header on a set-piece play in the third minute of the game. This performance puts the youngster in a race that seemed to be solely between Ortega and Edson Gutierrez, although it by no means guarantees him playing time. Other than the goal, Perez tallied five clearances and four tackles (three won) in his first appearance of the campaign.
