Jordan Morris Injury: Not going to be rushed back

Morris (shoulder) will be out of his sling by the end of the week but will not be rushed back by the staff, coach Brian Schmetzer told the media, according to 93.3 KJR radio.

Morris suffered a shoulder injury that required surgery in late July, but he is reportedly going to be out of his sling by the end of the week. The coaching staff will not rush his return to avoid any setbacks, as he has endured a tough season due to injuries and is expected to find only a rotational role when back. Morris started only four of his 10 appearances this season, while he came off the bench just twice in 37 appearances last season, so his absence does not impact the starting squad.
