Strand Larsen missed Saturday's 3-2 defeat against Everton due to a minor Achilles injury, coach Vitor Pereira said in a press conference. "Jorgen got a kick in the game against Bournemouth, and after Bournemouth, he tried to train and he still had the pain. After we played with him around 25 minutes in the last game, and at the end of the game, the pain increased the level and the inflammation in the Achilles tendon was a danger, and I could not risk a player like this. It was not about Newcastle it was not about this. I know the player very well and he has a good character, strong character, and he did an exam in the Achilles and he has the injury. It's not serious, but it's a situation that he cannot play when like this."

Strand Larsen is dealing with a minor Achilles injury that could become serious if it is not taken care of, according to his coach. Reports suggested that the striker could be faking the injury due to ongoing rumors over a potential move away from the Wolves, but in the end he really has an injury that requires attention. If Strand Larsen remains at the club, he will hope to recover during the international break to be back available for the Wolves against the Magpies on Sept. 13.
