Jorgen Strand Larsen Injury: Won't play vs. Newcastle

Strand Larsen (Achilles) is out for Saturday's game against Newcastle United. "[Jorgen] Strand Larsen won't play against Newcastle as the injury is a bit more serious than we first thought," manager Vitor Pereira said during his pre-match press conference Friday.

The Norwegian striker missed the 3-2 defeat against Everton before the international break due to a minor Achilles injury, but according to Pereira, the injury was more severe than initially expected. This means Hwang Hee-Chan could remain in the starting lineup. The South Korea striker bagged a goal in the loss to Everton. Strand Larsen's next chance to play will come against Leeds United on Saturday, Sep. 20.
