Corona played his last official match Sunday, with Tijuana allowing him to retire against his former club Cruz Azul.
Corona remained active until the age of 44 after serving for Atlas, Tecos, Cruz Azul and Xolos. He's considered one of the five best Mexican goalkeepers of recent times, boasting a 2012 Olympic gold medal as his greatest achievement. Overall, he logged 924 goals against and 224 clean sheets over 753 club matches played.
