Jose Juan Macias News: Signs with Pumas

Macias is heading to Pumas after not being acquired by Real Valladolid during a short trial period, the club announced Wednesday.

Macias is a risky asset given that he has a long injury history, including two torn ACLs, and has played only 12 minutes in the past year. However, he can still get his career back on track at 25, if he manages to stay fit, in which case he'll provide a boost to a team whose only other center-forward is Guillermo Martinez. The former Guadalajara, Leon and Santos Laguna striker will aim to get some chances off the bench, although his performance will be highly unpredictable in that role.
