Josko Gvardiol Injury: Out against Wolves

Gvardiol will miss Saturday's opener against Wolves with an undisclosed knock, according to manager Pep Guardiola. "Gvardiol is not ready."

Gvardiol missed the friendly against Palermo a week ago and apparently hasn't recovered in time for Saturday. That means City's options in the back will likely be Ruben Dias with Manuel Akanji, John Stones, Nathan Ake or Abdukodir Khusanov. It's unclear if the injury will keep Gvardiol out an extended period, but fortunately for City, they have a bevy of options in the back while Rayan Ait-Nouri plays at left-back.
