Julian Ryerson Injury: Could be available
Ryerson (calf) could be an option for Saturday's season opener against St. Pauli on Saturday, according to Matthias Dersch of Kicker. "The calf is a rather small muscle, and if it fills with a little blood, there is very little space. I hope he lasts until the weekend. We did a test this morning to see if we could have him on the bank, but that didn't work. We still have a few days, but I'm still confident."
Ryerson was absent from Monday's Cup match due to a calf injury but appears to be on the mend ahead of their season opener, with he defender now a possibility for Saturday. That said, this is good news after the injury of Yan Couto (knee), who could also return Saturday, leaving the club with options at right-back if one isn't completely fit. However, if fit, Ryerson will be expected to see the start.
