Julien Duranville Injury: Training with ball

Duranville (shoulder) was spotted training with the ball in team training on Thursday and will be playing with the U23 squad to build on his fitness in the coming weeks, coach Niko Kovac said in the press conference. "After his break over the last few months, Julien Duranville will initially be getting some playing time with the U23s. There he can get fit, find his feet, and work on everything else. We're not rushing anything with him."

Duranville is nearing a return from a shoulder injury and showed good progress Thursday after being spotted training with the ball alongside his teammates. This is a positive sign as it suggests the forward isn't far from making his return on the pitch. He is expected to play for the U23 team in the coming weeks to build on his fitness before returning to the senior squad as a rotational option.
