Justin Kluivert Injury: Ruled out to face Liverpool

Kluivert (calf) won't play against Liverpool on Friday, manager Andoni Iraola told media during Thursday's pre-match press conference. "Justin hasn't been training with us and won't play," Iraola explained.

Kluivert netted 12 Premier League goals last season but didn't play a single minute in preseason while recovering from an injury, so his absence from this game isn't surprising. Expect David Brooks to start in his place as an attacking midfielder. Kluivert's next chance to play will come against Wolverhampton on Saturday, Aug. 23.
