Kai Havertz Injury: Dealing with training injury
Havertz missed Wednesday's friendly with Villarreal due to a muscular issue, according to manager Mikel Arteta."Yesterday in training, he (Havertz) felt something and this morning he wasn't quite right, So we decided to rest him. I think it's going to be a matter of a couple of days, hopefully at the weekend, if everything goes to plan, I think he will be fit."
Havertz was absent from the training session and missed the match, though it's not expected to be an overly serious issue. Barring a surprise, Havertz should be an option for the Aug. 17 Premier League opener against Manchester United. New addition Viktor Gyokeres will likely mean Havertz is a bench option, with the ability to provide depth in midfield and the attack. Havertz scored nine goals and added three assists last season.
