Kai Havertz Injury: Undergoes knee surgery

Havertz (knee) underwent a minor surgery and is currently recovering, Arsenal announced.

Havertz needed further examination after a knee injury sidelined him and it was decided the best course of action was a minor surgery. The hope for the club is reportedly that Havertz will miss weeks and not months. Havertz was poised to be the backup for Viktor Gyokeres, with his absence opening the door for Mikel Merino as a false nine again.
