Kaua Santos Injury: Set for evaluation after break

Santos (knee) will undergo evaluation after the international break to decide his status, according to manager Dino Toppmoller. "With Kauã, we'll look at the development during the international break and then decide what we'll do in goal in Leverkusen."

Santos will sit out yet another match as he awaits a return from a knee operation. That said, the goalie will be tested over the break and will hopefully be in a decent enough spot to start to train with the team and potentially return soon after. He is fighting for starting time this campaign, and the club will evaluate who to continue with once he is fit, with Michael Zetterer as a possible replacement.
