Kristoffer Lund News: Joins FC Koln on loan

Lund has joined FC Koln on loan for the 2025/26 season from Palermo FC with a purchase option, his new club announced. "Kristoffer has the exact profile that we were looking for on the left side. He combines defensive stability with an attacking mind and his mentality means that he fills that position as we had wished. Despite his young age, he already has international experience. With his dynamism, he increases our options on the left side. His signing means that we have increased our quality and the competition for places on the left as hoped," said Sporting Director Thomas Kessler.

Lund was born in Denmark but also holds American nationality. He began his career with FC Midtjylland, where he stayed until 2021 and made his senior debut in March 2021. After a short stint with Esbjerg fB, he moved to BK Hacken and quickly became a key player. In 2023, he joined Palermo and made 68 appearances for the Italian side. He represented Denmark at all youth levels up to under-21 before switching to the USA and has earned seven caps so far.
