Leandro Trossard Injury: Hopeful for opener

Trossard is going to be a late call for the club's season opener on Aug. 17 against Manchester United, according to manager Mikel Arteta, per Simon Collings of The Standard. "I think he is going to be in a few days. He had a little issue in the groin, but he should be fine."

Trossard was once again absent from another friendly, unable to take the field Saturday against Athletic Club. However, he does appear to be on the mend and will be a late call for their season opener, a good update as his groin issues become less serious. That said, expect the attacker to need some testing to make the call, likely to start the season in a bench role, and see a drop off in minutes compared to last season, unless injuries arise again.
