Burcu suffered an important ankle injury during pre-season that required surgery, and he is out for the time being as his recovery could take months, according to BILD.

At the time, BILD revealed that his recovery would take months, meaning he still has to spend some time on the sidelines. That said, his absence does not impact the starting squad since he would hold a minor role once back.
