Bergvall was forced off in the seventh minute of Saturday's 1-0 defeat against Chelsea due to a concussion, coach Thomas Frank said in a press conference. "That was a concussion. So he was told he couldn't stay on and I think the medical team did a good job in that aspect. Even if he wanted to stay on, it's the right decision that he stays off."

Bergvall suffered a head collision in Saturday's debut game against Chelsea and was forced off due to concussion protocols. The midfielder wanted to stay on the pitch but the medical staff followed the rules, and he will undergo the required checks in the coming days, making him a doubt for Tuesday's clash against Copenhagen in the Champions League. If he misses the game, Xavi Simons is expected to take a larger role for Spurs.
