Manuel Gibran Lajud News: Moves to Atletico San Luis

Lajud is now part of Atletico San Luis' roster for the Apertura 2025 season after leaving Costa Rican team AD Guanacasteca, the club announced Wednesday.

Lajud will return to Liga MX, where he previously played for Tijuana, Cruz Azul and Santos. During his recent six-month stint in Costa Rica, the keeper played 12 games, averaging 3.2 saves and 1.1 goals conceded per contest. His arrival to the Potosino squad comes after the news of Cesar Lopez's (knee) long-term injury, but it's most likely to take a bench spot behind Andres Sanchez.
