Mason Greenwood News: Scores and assists Friday

Greenwood scored one goal and assisted once from four shots and three chances created in Friday's 4-0 win over Lorient.

Greenwood converted a penalty in the 13th minute to open the scoring and could have found a brace but saw his close-range header saved by Yvon Mvogo around the hour mark. His corner delivery assisted Benjamin Pavard's headed goal for the second of the night in the 20th minute. Greenwood has now scored two goals and provided three assists in four games this season, highlighting his brilliant start to the season. That said, he could have found many more looking at his stats since he contributed 12 shots and 12 chances created in the same span.
