Matheus Cunha News: Rested due to fatigue

Cunha didn't feature in Wednesday's 4-1 victory against Bournemouth in a preseason friendly due to fatigue, but he will be available for the next contest, coach Ruben Amorim said in a press conference, according to Samuel Luckhurst of the Manchester Evening News. "Cunha has fatigue. Need to assess all the players. Have to be careful with everyone. He's available for the next one. Matheus felt a little bit fatigued. He was ready to play, he wants to give everything but we need to be careful."

Cunha has been dealing with fatigue during the pre-season, and although he was ready to play and wanted to give everything, the coaching staff decided to be careful with the new signing and gave him a rest for Wednesday's clash against the Cherries in a pre-season friendly. That said, he will be back available in their next contest against Everton on Sunday to continue their pre-season preparation.
