Mauro Zaleta News: Loaned to Mazatlan

Zaleta will join Mazatlan on loan from Cruz Azul for the rest of the Apertura 2025 campaign, the club announced Wednesday.

Zaleta has played only 37 minutes in Liga MX, featuring mostly as a wing-back for his last team. He was unlikely to see action in a very solid roster, and could benefit from the move to a squad that needs him more due to recent injuries to Alberto Herrera (knee) and Jair Diaz (shoulder). Still, the 23-year-old has yet to show what he's capable of to challenge Mauro Lainez for playing time.
