van de Ven scored his first goal of the season with his first shot on target. The goal came after Lucas Bergvall tried to create space in the box, and the defender rocketed the ball into the West Ham goal. He was unlucky not to be awarded a penalty earlier in the game after he was dragged down in the penalty box, but VAR didn't award it.
