Meite single-handedly turned the fixture Sunday for Rennes as he scored and assisted in a 21-minute substitute appearance after entering the fixture when it was level at one. The goal marked the forward's first of the season, and the assist was his first career Ligue 1 assist. Meier has yet to play in excess of 37 minutes in any of his four Ligue 1 appearances (two starts) to begin the season.
