Morgan Rogers Injury: Injury deemed not serious

Rogers (ankle) is thought to have only suffered a minor injury and could make the season opener against Newcastle on Aug. 16, according to Jacob Tanswell of The Athletic.

Rogers was feared to be set to miss time after he suffered an injury in a friendly a few days ago, but appears to have avoided that and is now only dealing with minor issues. This is good news as he could potentially make the opening match of the season, although he is still set for further assessment, and it will be a close call. However, it is at least positive that his injury won't be long-term, as he is a crucial piece of the team and should start close to every match once fit.
