Niklas Schmidt Injury: Still under treatment

Schmidt (knee) is still under treatment for his injury suffered back in December and will miss the beginning of the 2025/26 Ligue 1 season, according to Les Violets.

Schmidt suffered an ACL injury back in late December and is still under treatment with the medical staff. His recovery will take a bit more time and he will likely miss the first two months of competitions at best. Schmidt started the 2024/25 season as a starter with TeFeCe and could compete for that spot in midfield if he comes back fully fit and finds his sensations again, which is always complicated after an ACL injury.
