Paul Rothrock News: Unused substitute Thursday

Rothrock (hand) remained an unused substitute in Thursday's 7-0 win against Cruz Azul in the Leagues Cup, confirming he is back available for Seattle.

Rothrock suffered a broken hand that kept him out of Seattle's last match, but the injury does not appear serious enough to prevent him from playing, as he returned to the bench for Thursday's Sounders demonstration against Cruz Azul. Rothrock likely would have entered the match if it had been close, but his teammates scored a historic seven goals, so coach Brian Schmetzer took no risks with him.
